Counting Backwards Drill

Here's a great drill that will help you work on both your shooting and decision-making skills. This drill be done with live ammo at the range or during a dry fire session and you can draw from the holster or from low ready. If you would like to test your speed, you can use a shot timer.

The Drill:

From the holster or low ready, draw and Fire:

One shot on 6

Two shots on 5

Three shots on 4

Four shots on 3

Five shots on 2

Six shots on 1

Repeat 2-3 times

Remember, if you're dry firing, make sure to follow all the safety protocols! Before performing any dry fire drills, make sure that your gun is unloaded (double check) and there is no ammunition in your magazines or anywhere in the room.
