Deep concealability is what the "Athena" inside-the-waistband holster offers. Athena is custom-made, with genuine leather and your choice of thread colors. Rides low enough that the grip of the gun is only 1/4" to 1/2" above the waistband and is available with 4 clip options.
Athena was the Greek goddess of wisdom, warfare, battle strategy, and heroic endeavors.
Clip Styles:
- Standard Clip - Straight draw with zero cant, perfect for carrying in front of your hips, appendix or cross-draw.
- Standard Clip with 15 Degree Forward Cant - This clip position is best if you plan to carry at or behind your hip, from about the 3 o'clock to 5 o'clock positions.
- Standard Clip with 15 Degree Reverse Cant - This clip position is an option (personal preference) if you plan to wear the gun on your weak side, and cross-draw. It will angle the grip towards your belly-button instead of away from it.
- Tuckable Clip - This works well if you wear your shirts tucked in, as it allows your garment to be tucked between the holster and your waistband.

Break It In
All leather holsters, regardless of manufacturer or style, need to be broken in.
When you first receive it, your gun fit will be extremely tight. It must be made this way, to get perfect retention after the leather stretches.
You will receive these instructions with your holster, but here's how to break it in:
Place your unloaded gun in a heavy-duty plastic bag (like a ziplock), place the bag-covered gun into the holster and leave it there for several days.
It helps to draw the unloaded, bagged gun in and out of the holster, multiple times. It's easy to do it while watching TV or other activities - it does take several days of working with the leather holster and leaving the bagged gun in it to break it in.
Do not use oils or any other products on the holster in an effort to loosen it.
