Charley is a classic, beautiful hobo made of rich, waxed leather. It has an extra-wide strap for style and comfort. A hidden foldover flap with magnetic closure provides even more storage with an extra zipped pocket. Perfectly paired with dresses or blue jeans, Charley moves seamlessly from day to night.
Features:
All purses on the site will have dimensions for the gun compartment. Always allow at least a half inch of clearance at the zipper.
Example: Gun compartment is 8.5” W x 7” H.
If your gun is less than 8" long (end to end) and less than 6.5" tall, it should fit.
The nylon/elastic purse holsters that most manufacturers include with the bags are a place to start, but they will not be a good fit for many guns.
Your gun won't "snap in" - these holsters have zero retention. If you tip the holster upside down, the gun will slip out. We strongly recommend getting a kydex purse holster that's molded for your specific gun model, with snap-in retention.
You'll get several loose adhesive velcro sheets with it, so you can attach it however you prefer inside your bag (or any surface).
I got this as a gift for my wife, and was nervous about it, since these are pretty personal, and she's pretty picky. It seems good, and the holster seems to fit well. I somehow assumed that the strap was adjustable, but it is not. The highlights are a bit bold and flashy/shiny for both our tastes, but she said they'll scruff up in use. A brushed finish is about all I'd change. Thank you.
I have been using this purse now for several days and have been pleasantly surprised by it. It's large, but I've come to the conclusion that if you want to carry anything besides your gun, you'll need a larger bag that you might be used to. I love the profile of the purse but what really has surprised me is how stable it is on my shoulders. I was worried that it might slip off and be hard to keep on, but I've had no problems. My shoulders are small and get sore easily, but this purse, fully loaded with all my stuff, has not caused any problems. It holds everything I need (and I do carry a lot) plus my glock 42, which I very much appreciate. The leather is gorgeous also. I gave it a four simply because I've had to fight a little with the zippers on the fold over pocket (got to keep them closed tightly to prevent anything falling out!), but otherwise this purse is well worth the money.
