Fay is a simple, uniquely versatile design! It can be worn as a traditional crossbody bag, but it also comes equipped with an additional, adjustable strap allowing it to be worn as a belt or waist pack. The adjustable waist strap attaches to two expanding flaps on the back of the bag. When being worn as a crossbody, these flaps have a snap closure, keeping them flush against the bag.
Fay is made with genuine, vegetable-tanned leather. The leather is waxed, oiled, buffed and polished, enhancing the natural grain and surface. You'll love how it feels and smells! And with time and handling, the leather evolves to a naturally burnished patina, enhancing its character and beauty.
All purses on the site will have dimensions for the gun compartment. Always allow at least a half inch of clearance at the zipper.
Example: Gun compartment is 8.5” W x 7” H.
If your gun is less than 8" long (end to end) and less than 6.5" tall, it should fit.
The nylon/elastic purse holsters that most manufacturers include with the bags are a place to start, but they will not be a good fit for many guns.
Your gun won't "snap in" - these holsters have zero retention. If you tip the holster upside down, the gun will slip out. We strongly recommend getting a kydex purse holster that's molded for your specific gun model, with snap-in retention.
You'll get several loose adhesive velcro sheets with it, so you can attach it however you prefer inside your bag (or any surface).
I've gotten used to the fanny pack concealed carry option - ugly/weird but it feels safer knowing exactly where my weapon is if I needed to get to it and also I've grown fond of having my hands/shoulders free when shopping. Previously I had a purple one from "The Well Armed Woman". I decided to upgrade to this one from Gun Goddess because it's a couple inches taller and wider. My sunglasses were constantly falling out of my old one and getting scratched up. I couldn't fit my phone or wallet in it. Basically just keys, cash, loose cards and my inhaler (and my 9 mm of course). With the Fay from Gun Goddess I can have an actual wallet, and fit my phone in it, and slip my sunglasses in the 2nd cell phone pocket. Other than size, this one is vastly superior because it can be used with your own belt instead of the included strap, and you can put the strap through the hooks and use it as a regular purse if you want to. So much more versatility! This was more than I usually spend on purses, but I'm so so glad I got it!
