Athena was the Greek goddess of wisdom, warfare, battle strategy, and heroic endeavors.  Deep concealability is the key for the Athena holster.

The holster is meant to be carried in the front of the body on either side of the front zipper (Appendix carry). The key to any good appendix-style holster is getting the gun to ride as close to the waistline of your pants as possible. The Athena rides low enough that the grip of the gun is only 1/4" to 1/2" above the pant line.

This holster works best for smaller guns, particularly with .380's and small 9 and .40's. Because of this, the Athena is currently only available for compact guns.
