This adaptor is for use with the Steering Wheel Column Holster Mount, sold separately.
While the mount fits the majority of vehicles, there are some that have no gap, a covered gap, or very thick gap edge beneath the steering column. There are also some that have an awkward column design, such as older antique/classic cars. If you have any doubts about the vehicle mount fitting your vehicle, this adaptor is for you.
This adaptor will provide you with a safe alternative to install your vehicle mount to your steering wheel column. It allows you to still use the vehicle mount as it was intended. It simply bypasses the steering wheel gap attach point, and allows you to adjust the vertical height/location where your holster and mount are positioned under the steering column.
Simply wrap the adaptor around the entire steering column, buckle on top, and pull tight. A special thin metal D-ring on the bottom of the adaptor strap provides a loop to hook the top part of our Vehicle Mount as if it were the typical gap beneath the steering column. Same function, same location, unobtrusive, problem solved.
Vehicle mount, holster and firearm not included.
Installation:
Before proceeding, DO NOT attempt to place your vehicle mount with a loaded firearm onto the adaptor before adaptor is installed and secure first. Doing so could result in serious injury or death. The purpose of the enclosed adaptor, is to provide you with a safe alternative of installing your vehicle mount to your steering wheel column. This adaptor allows customers who do not have a gap under their steering column, have an odd design, etc., to still use the vehicle mount as it was intended. This adaptor simply bypasses the steering wheel gap attach point.
Take the enclosed strap and wrap it around your steering wheel column from underneath, and buckle at the top. The buckle should rest on top of your steering wheel column. Be sure adaptor strap does not obstruct ignition or any levers that may be part of the steering column. Once in position, pull adaptor strap to firmly tighten. Finally, there is a metal ring at the bottom of the strap, now under your steering column. Attach the top hook of your vehicle mount to the lower loop of this ring. Pull vehicle mount strap to tighten the entire application. You may need to hold top hook of mount and adaptor ring while pulling
vehicle mount tight. This will help insure a tight fit. It is now ready for use
